How This Works

This guide will walk you through using the AUSg1u platform to submit and view your hospital's glucometric data.

Creating an Account

  1. Click Sign Up on the website
  2. Enter an email address associated with your affiliated institution from which the glucose data is derived
  3. Complete the registration form and verify your email address
  4. Once registered, you will be directed to your Account Profile page to set up your hospital profile

Setting Up Your Hospital Profile

Before you can submit any data, you need to select which hospital you are submitting data for.

  1. Go to your Account Profile page
  2. In the Hospital Profile section, use the search box to find your hospital by name, location, or provider number
  3. Select your hospital from the list
  4. Click Set Hospital to save your selection
Please note that if your email domain does not match the selected hospital's verified domains, we may conduct additional verification to confirm your affiliation.

Completing the Hospital Characteristics Form

Before uploading glycaemic data, you must complete the hospital characteristics form. This form collects important information about your hospital that helps with data analysis.

  1. After setting your hospital, the hospital characteristics form will appear on your Account Profile page
  2. Answer all questions marked with a red asterisk (*) as these are required
  3. Some questions may reveal follow-up questions based on your answer
  4. Click Submit hospital characteristics form when complete
You can update your hospital characteristics at any time by returning to your Account Profile page. Your previous answers will be pre-filled.

Once you have submitted the hospital characteristics form, you will see a message with a link to Go to Glucometrics Report to upload your data.

Preparing Your Data

Before uploading, make sure your data is properly formatted:

  1. Use the Data Cleaner to validate and check your patient data for issues
  2. If your institution uses an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, download the data from your EHR and run it through the Data Cleaner
  3. If your institution does not use an EHR system, download our template spreadsheet and enter your data before using the Data Cleaner

Data Requirements:

  • Patient identifier (de-identified)
  • Date and time of glucose reading
  • Glucose value in mmol/L
  • Optional: ward/unit information, patient demographics

Uploading Glycaemic Data

    • Accepted formats: Excel (.xlsx, .xls) or CSV (.csv)
  3. Click Upload Data to submit your file
  4. Wait for the upload to complete - do not close or refresh the page during this process
  5. Once uploaded, you will receive a submission code for your records
